THE ANGLER’S REST

Without doubt one of my favourite wedding venues in Dublin has got to be The Angler’s Rest. I have shot many weddings at this venue over the years and on every single visit I am captivated by its charm and warm welcoming atmosphere. This is helped hugely by the team there who always make every guest feel special and appreciated and are always on hand to help with any request, big or small.
Nestled snugly among the trees on Knockmaroon Hill, The Angler’s Rest‘s quaint exterior with its log burning fire oozes Irish charm and a cead mile failte. Inside, it boasts a labyrinth of levels, each exuding warmth and character. The traditional decor, complete with cosy fireplaces and vintage touches, creates an intimate setting that’s perfect for a wedding celebration. The wooden floors and tasteful furnishings add to the rustic elegance, making guests feel right at home. This would also be a good time to mention that The Anglers Rest also has its own car park which certainly makes life a lot easier for guests. No need to look for on street parking here!
As I mentioned earlier the staff at Wrights Anglers Rest are rightfully praised for their friendliness and professionalism. From the initial planning stages to the day of the wedding, the team is dedicated to ensuring that every detail is perfect. I have been lucky enough to work with Oliver and Agata for many years now and I am always delighted to be able to say to my clients when they tell me they are getting married at The Angler’s Rest that they will be in such good hands! Their level of personalised service helps create a relaxed and enjoyable experience for couples and their guests, and nothing is too much trouble.
Photo opportunities are also plentiful at this fabulous wedding venue. With the Phoenix Park just a couple of minutes away it is easy to nip away from the party for half an hour and avail of the many stunning locations within the park to capture some breathtaking wedding day photos. The interior of The Angler’s Rest itself also provides plenty of photo opportunites with its cosy vintage decor, open fireplaces, wooden floors and romantic nooks and crannies it is just a joy to photograph a wedding there.
The food! Don’t get me started on the food! One of the standout features of The Anglers Rest is its commitment to culinary excellence. The venue is renowned for its fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients, offering a menu that showcases the best of Irish cuisine. From their famous seafood chowder to hearty meat dishes and tempting desserts, there’s something to please every palate. The in-house catering team works closely with couples to create personalized menus, ensuring that the food is a highlight of the celebration. Certainly every time I eat there it has to be the steak for me. Amazing!
So in conclusion I can happily say that The Angler’s Rest offers a wedding experience that beautifully blends rustic charm with modern amenities. Its picturesque setting, cosy interiors, versatile spaces, delectable cuisine, and friendly staff come together to create a day that’s as unique as your love story.
